The invasion was now under way. THE LANDINGS The first landings were scheduled to take place at 0320hrs on the left flank of the invasion beaches. On the Amalfi Coast the US Rangers were to land at the small fishing harbour of Maiori, while the British Commandos headed to Vietri a few miles to the east.
